My Weekend Escape at Fontainebleau Las Vegas

I’ve been on a press trip kick lately.

There’s just something about traveling to a new place, getting wined and dined, and then reliving your experience through an article.

As owner and Editor-in-Chief of Laguna Beach Living I have a dedicated section on the website where I showcase all of my out-of-town adventures. While the full site is dedicated to Laguna specifically, locals still want to know what to eat/see/do when they go on vacations of their own.

Last month I wrote about my time staying at Maui’s Fairmont Kea Lani while there for the Maui Makai launch party. I ate Spicy Wahine Rolls, swam with turtles, and slid down the hotel’s waterslide maybe a bit too often.

This month, however, my travel plans weren’t as fun. I had to travel to Las Vegas to attend the funeral of my sweet grandmother, but figured I’d turn some lemons into lemonade and team up with a local hotel while I was out there.

The newly renovated Fontainebleau Las Vegas was happy to host me and pack my schedule with SO MUCH FUN.

We’re talking 5-star steakhouses and $400 facials and a literal snow chamber. (In 118 degree heat this was extra amazing.)

I wrote about the whole experience — everything from getting picked up at the airport in the hotel’s branded Escalade and being whisked away to the VIP entrance full of professional basketball players and TikTok stars to lounging in poolside cabanas and drinking my fair share of raspberry cocktails.

I even had the chance to meet up with Las Vegas Parents Club’s Founder and Editor-in-Chief, Angela Christine, for some eclectic Asian cuisine at the Fontainebleau’s Chyna Club. (LVPC is City Living Network’s 5th publication.)

Although the reason for heading out of town was ultimately a sad one, I was able to make the most of it, merging the perks of my career with a little free pampering when needed.
