Say Aloha to Maui Makai

Maui Makai's Kama Hagar | City Living Network | Kama Hagar Editor-in-Chief Maui Makai

Meet Kama Hagar, Founder & Editor-in-Chief of Maui Makai.

Kama grew up with a vagabond lifestyle that alternated between being on the road with her dad’s band and in the remote jungle of Haiku.

But wherever she went, Maui came with her.

This love of the island led her to study from two lineages of Hawaiian healers, launch an eco-luxury skincare line infused with Hawaiian botanicals, and start a monthly membership coaching people on the principles of aloha.

The next most obvious thing for her?

LAUNCH A DIGITAL PUBLICATION HIGHLIGHTING THE BEST OF MAUI.

And so it’s with great pride that the City Living Network now introduces our first Hawaiian City:

Kama had a very specific vision for the publication. She wanted to bring a sense of style and a coolness factor to Maui.

Sure, we all know how beautiful the island is, but she wanted to show more than the pretty beaches, the tropical flowers, and the general stuff that’s already in every tourist book.

From custom photography to beautifully crafted articles to a launch party that’s going to literally rock your socks off (scheduled for June), Kama and Maui Makai are going to do big things.

We had a blast working together this past month and I’m so happy to have her as part of our Network, adding even more value to our already talented group of Founders and Editors.

If you haven’t already, check out MauiMakai.com or follow the Instagram to participate in the fun.

P.S. For all those with a Hawaiian getaway planned in the future, the ALOHA MAUI GIVEAWAY is launching sooooon! You won’t want to miss it.
